A FARNHAM family faces having to raise £22,000 to fund an operation to help their teenage daughter, who is unable to eat or drink without vomiting.
Danielle Goodridge, 15, whose weight has plummeted to around six stone, has been in and out of different hospitals over the past year.
And for much of that time she has endured the distressing misdiagnosis that the problem is down to eating disorders, such as anorexia or bulimia.
But on Friday last week, she finally received confirmation of what her family has believed for months after reading of an identical case in a national newspaper - she is suffering from gastroparesis, or paralysis of the stomach.
