A 62-year-old Binsted man and his son could be made homeless by the end of the month, evicted by a housing association.

Not only are the two men struggling to come to terms with a death in the family but, with the prospect of living rough on the streets, it could sever contact with a third member of the household, a two-year-old grandson who visits at weekends.

Royston Hopcroft and son Ryan, 23 are due to be served with an eviction notice on Friday, giving them just 14 days to vacate the Radian Housing Association property at Thurstons, home for the past 43 years of Royston's parents, Bill and Lillian.
