EAST Hampshire MP Damian Hinds welcomed the approval of outline planning permission to transform Bordon's Louisburg Barracks into a development
of 500 homes and employment land for jobs.
East Hampshire District Council's planning committee
approved the Homes and Communities Agency's outline planning application on September 24 for 500 homes and three hectares of employment space.
The decision supports ambitions to build a new
construction skills training centre as part of the development - which aims to help create around 500 jobs.
And a new relief road will aim to improve access to the site and ease congestion around the town.
