FARNHAM Voices Together entertained audiences with their Shakespeare-themed music event in support of youth homelessness charity Step by Step.
The choir, who were joined on the night by renowned soprano soloist Nicola Wydenbach to make the evening truly memorable, sang a mixed programme of music based on the works of Shakespeare.
Step by Step volunteer Robyn Sale was there on the night to let the audience know more about Step by Step’s work with young people who are homeless and/or facing other challenges in their lives.
Her talk must have hit the right note with the audience as the evening raised a total of £820. Catherine Johnson, choir chair and Graham Smith, choir treasurer presented Step by Step’s community fundraiser Jenny Jackson with the cheque earlier this month at the charities foyer in Aldershot.
“The choir is all about having a passion for what you are doing and this is something we instil in the young people through our training and support services here at Step by Step. A big thank you to everyone who helped raise such a magnificent amount of life-changing money,” said Jenny.
