STAFF at Medstead Primary School are due to open their doors next week for an open evening for prospective parents with children due to start school in September.
Parents visiting the village school next Tuesday will receive a guided tour of the school, with an opportunity to find out what is on offer to pupils.
Rated by Ofsted as a “good” school located in the heart of Hampshire’s beautiful countryside, Medstead Primary is a medium-sized school for children aged four to 11, led by headteacher Jane Oborn and her team.
It currently has 210 pupils and has the added advantage of being one of the few schools in the area that can offer a one-class-per-year group, with no split age-group classes.
The school extended an invitation to all parents who may still be undecided on where to send their children in September.
Mrs Oborn said: “With high academic achievement and impressive all-round skills developed through a creative curriculum and enriched by a wealth of extra-curricular activities from football, netball, hockey and cross-country to orchestra, chess and Scooter Club, Medstead School really does have the most wonderful learning environment for children aged four to 11.
“Our aim is for all our children to grow up hopeful, courageous and trusting and I look forward to welcoming prospective parents on the evening of January 12 for a guided tour and a chance to meet our fantastic school team.”
The open evening runs from 7pm-9pm.
