A COMPLEX water pipe installation project in Upper Hale is now complete, South East Water has confirmed.

The water company has installed more than 800 metres of brand new water pipe in Upper Hale Road, from the junction of Old Park Lane to just beyond Trinity Hill.

It means customers are guaranteed top-quality drinking water for years to come as the community grows.

Matthew Cooper, project manager, said: “I’m delighted that this project has come to a successful conclusion.

“It was a complex scheme which involved careful and precise planning and means we can secure tap water supply to the area.”

Temporary traffic lights were installed on Upper Hale Road as a safety precaution. However, these lights have now been removed.

The project formed part of the water company’s £424m investment into its network between 2015 and 2020.
