WHITEHILL Town Council has submitted no objection to the outline planning application to redevelop Louisburg Barracks. The plan, which arrived at East Hampshire District Council earlier this month, is for outline permission for most of the site, including for up to 500 homes, and business and employment space. The hybrid application also seeks full permission for a 970-metre section of the inner relief road. Town planning chairman Sally Pond said - at Mon-day's meeting - that because it was just an outline planning application "there's an awful lot of paper but not a lot of meat on the bones for us to pick at".
