A BID by Dunsfold Park to be allowed extra flights to help meet increased demand during the Olympics has triggered more than 40 objections.
The airfield is one of 40 identified by the Secretary of State for Transport that could provide additional landing slots and Dunsfold Park Ltd has submitted an application for 1,500 extra flights from July 21 to August 15 and to extend flying hours to 7am to 9pm Monday to Sunday.
An aviation report submitted with the application stated that a number of enquiries about availability by interested companies, including Gatwick-based Air Partner, had already been received.
