A GOOD turnout is hoped for at Lynchmere Parish Council’s annual meeting at Camelsdale School, next week.

The parish council will be giving an update on negotiations to take over St Michael’s Hall and the latest on Hammer Recreation Ground.

There will be a presentation by Surrey Police on community safety and an opportunity for residents to raise any issues.

Parish clerk Kate Bain said: “Please come and give the parish council your views on the parish and hear the council’s plans and reports on various matters, including St Michael’s Hall, and Hammer Recreation Ground.”

The parish council is appealing for residents to volunteer their services for a few hours to help man speed watch signs to try and deter speeding in the parish. Applications are also invited to fill three vacancies on the parish council to join existing members Stephen Bennett, Chris Duckworth, Hazel Elliott, Emma Hackett, chirman Sylvia McCallum, vice chairman Sandie Moore, Caroline Randall and Ann Thornhill.

The council is circulating a survey for feedback on broadband speeds in a bid to try and get the parish-wide service improved. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start, on Thursday, April 26.
