WITLEY has launched its call for development sites in the village as part of the process of creating its Neighbourhood Plan.

The village which includes Brook, Enton, Milford, Sandhills, Witley and Wormley, is continuing its momentum in the creation of its plan with the Witley Neighbourhood Plan steering group, made up of volunteers living in the Parish launching the process.

The purpose of the “Call for Sites” – an important part of the community consultation – is to ensure all appropriate sites in the parish are considered for future development.

Any landowners within the Witley parish area  who wish to have land considered for development, in the short or longer term are asked to provide relevant details.

Once complete, the Witley community will be given the chance to vote on the Witley Neighbourhood Plan, via a parish referendum. If more than 50 per cent of those voting support the plan then Waverley Borough Council must bring it into force. All statuatory decision-makers on any planning matter will be obliged by law to take the Neighbourhood Plan into account when they consider proposals for development in the Witley Parish area.

For more information and to download the submission form please go to the Witley Neighbourhood Plan website www.witleyneighbourhoodplan.co.uk.

All required information must be submitted by May 26. If you have any queries contact the steering group by email at [email protected]
