EAST Hampshire District Council was proud to be creating the area's first natural burial site on neglected land at Bowelswood Farm in Headley Down - but a year after it was due to open, it is still awaiting its first burial.

Now faced with budget cuts, the district council this week announced it was searching for a partner to help run such a venture.
