AN August garden party hosted by the Lawrence family in Farnham has raised £2,700 for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care.

A number of talented musicians donated their time free of charge to entertain the extremely appreciative audience of family and friends.

A raffle and silent auction were also held, offering an array of prizes donated by local businesses and individual supporters, while guests also made donations for the refreshments provided by the hosts.

Host Felicity afterwards thanked her guests, commenting: “The generosity of everyone who came along reflects the high regard we all have for Phyllis Tuckwell.”

The hospice added its thanks to the Lawrence family for the donation, which it said could cover the costs of its entire hospice care at home nursing team for a day.
