MONEY which was given to the Phoenix Centre by East Hampshire District Council may have to be returned if the Phoenix does not provide the services it promised.
Grant aid totalling £3,500 was given to the theatre for the current financial year and in a report to district councillors, they heard the services which the money was going to pay for had not materialised. But speaking after the community services committee on Tuesday, January 23, director of the Phoenix, John Dunne, said he was confident the theatre was on track to provide the services promised.
