All roads will lead to Farnham as a talk and micro-pilgrimage will take place at St Andrew’s from 1.15pm this Friday (May 16).

Dawn Champion from the British Pilgrimage Trust will talk about the history of the practice and why it’s becoming so popular and relevant today.

Farnham can claim to being one of the oldest walking and pilgrimage centres in the UK given its links to the Pilgrim Way and Harrow Way.

A micro-pilgrimage around the town centre will follow the talk. Booking isn’t required for the free event but participation in the St Andrew’s repair survey at www.standrewsfarnham.org is encouraged.

The event is part of Farnham Walking Festival with a morning pilgrimage from Waverley Abbey also taking place.
