HOUSEBUILDER Taylor Wimpey is inviting people to have their say on detailed proposals for the design of its new 120-home development on the historic Beavers Road hop fields.

Outline planning permission was granted by Waverley Borough Council in September 2015 for up to 120 new homes to be built on land to the north of Crondall Lane, adjacent to the University for the Creative Arts Farnham campus.

The principle of residential development with access from Crondall Lane having already been established, Taylor Wimpey is now drawing up a ‘reserved matters’ planning application dealing with detailed design elements not approved at outline stage.

Further information about the reserved matters proposals will be displayed during a public exhibition to be held at Farnham Maltings on Monday, March 7, between 3.30pm and 7.30pm.

The event will give residents, businesses, community groups and other interested parties the chance to find out more about the scheme and discuss the plans with the Taylor Wimpey project team.

Public feedback on matters of design will help to shape the development proposals before the reserved matters planning application is finalised for submission to the borough council.

Ross Samuel, senior land manager for Taylor Wimpey west London, said: “As a considerate, responsible developer we want to give people the chance to have their say on development plans for their area – and this is why we are inviting the local community to find out more about our latest proposals for land to the north of Crondall Lane in Farnham.

“Anyone who comes along to our public exhibition on Monday, March 7, will be able to speak to members of our project team to find out more about our proposals and help to influence the design of the development by providing their feedback.”

Those who are unable to attend the exhibition will be able to access the information displayed at the event online at www.taylorwimpey.co.uk/crondall-lane from March 7 onwards.
