POLICE are appealing for help to trace a driver who failed to stop following a collision with a cyclist near Farnham.

Officers were called to a collision on the A325 at Holt Pound involving a vehicle and a cyclist at around 6.10pm last night (Thursday).

The 24-year-old cyclist came off his bike, leaving him lying in the carriageway with minor injuries. The vehicle failed to stop at the scene.

PC Michael Batten said: “We know that this collision happened when this road was busy with commuter traffic so we would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this collision.

“It happened on an unlit section of this road between Holt Pound crossroads and the turning for Blacknest.

“The cyclist was wearing a high-visibility rucksack cover and had lights on his bike.

“If you were the driver of the vehicle, or if you know who was driving, please get in touch.”
