POLICE in Whitehill are appealing for information following the theft of a 120 aluminium planks from an industrial depot in Lasham. Around 11.30pm on Saturday, July 7, £6,000 worth of aluminium planks were stolen from the industrial site in Lasham. This planks are approximately 16ft long and eight inches wide. The offenders gained entry to the site by cutting through the fence. Pc Daniel Hurst, of Whitehill police station, said: "I would appeal to anyone who may have information relating to this theft to come forward. "A light coloured Ford Iveco 75E15 flat bed or drop side lorry has been captured on CCTV entering the site. "I would appeal to anyone who may recognise this vehicle, or who saw it in the area at the time, to contact police. "I would also urge anyone who is offered large quantities of aluminium planks to contact us immediately. "As the metal is specifically for building floors on lorries, it is of little value to anyone outside the trade and therefore it is likely that the metal will be scrapped."
