PROFESSIONAL ecologist Lee Morgan, photographer, writer and wilderness guide, will gives an illustrated talk, ‘The Natural History of the Canadian Rockies – Away from Road and Rail,’ this weekend.
For centuries the vast wilderness of the Canadian Rockies has captivated explorers, scientists and prospectors.
Even today, its spectacular snow-capped peaks, thundering waterfalls, turquoise glacial rivers and lakes, and acres of dense forest, continue to lure visitors.
It is away from the roads and rails that the very best wildlife of the Canadian Rockies can be found, and Mr Morgan will share his photographs and knowledge of that remote world.
The talk, which takes place at 2.15pm on Saturday, January 13, at Haslemere Museum, is organised by the Haslemere Natural History Society, jointly with the museum.
It is one of a series of events at the museum over the winter months. Non-members are invited to donate £4.
