CHILDREN at Potters Gate School enjoyed an early Christmas present as the school library took delivery of more than £1,000 of new books this week.
Usborne Books rep and Potters Gate parent Alison Scoon asked local businesses to donate towards the purchase of Usborne books and they gave generously, which has resulted in the books bonanza for the school.
Head teacher Jane Whittington said: "I have selected a mix of non-fiction, including lots of history books, encyclopaedias and books about art, while for our fiction shelves the children can enjoy traditional stories, historical fiction and poetry.
"I'd like to thank Biocompatibles, Elphicks, Click Financial, International Process Technologies Ltd, Atkins Clenaware and Tindle Newspapers, publishers of the Farnham Herald for their fantastic contributions."
