A WINTER wonderland descended on South Farnham School last Friday as children and teachers braved the elements to go out and enjoy the snow.

The seasonal sprinkling of white stuff brought smiles to every child at the end of the week as a thick snow shower occurred during morning break time.

Excited children rushed to build snowmen.

Headmaster Andrew Carter happily walked between two columns of children as snowballs were enthusiastically thrown at him.

"Snow can be a bit of a pain for us adults but for children it is absolutely magical," he said. "Whenever it snows like this we always aim to come outside and enjoy it together, even if it does mean that I become the target for every snowball."
