YEAR three pupils at St Nicholas’ School in Church Crookham travelled back in time when they took part in an Egyptian day.

Dressed in their brightly-coloured period outfits, in the drama studio, the girls enjoyed participating in some activities based on Ancient Egyptian mummies and tombs.

The girls made jewel-studded necklaces in the art room which complemented their colourful costumes.

But the highlight of the action-packed day was arguably cooking, and then eating, some typical Egyptian food. The girls made a selection of flat breads and sweets made out of honey, dates and figs, as well as falafels.
