RAF ODIHAM is taking part in the Taking Football to Africa and Beyond appeal.
Teaming up with the Hampshire FA, the RAF team will support the appeal designed to provide aid across the world through football by collecting kit donations and redistributing them to the needy.
The 2015 appeal was record breaking, with 24 deliveries made to 15 countries worldwide which included 7,256 football shirts donated out of 27,380 items.
Their aim for this year is to top that and the Hampshire FA, along with RAF Odiham, is asking all clubs, leagues and community groups to “dig deep” and provide kit and equipment that is no longer needed.
The appeal has seen countries such as Palestine, Syria and Guinea clothe children and adults of all ages.
Any kit, such as shorts, shirts, trousers, jackets or socks must reach Hampshire FA no later than July 22.
RAF Odiham will collecting district donations and deliver them to RAF Shawbury in Shropshire, who will ship them overseas.
