MUSIC lovers queued overnight outside 101 Collector’s Records in West Street last month to get their hands on this year’s exclusive Record Store Day releases.

Andy Hibberd, owner of Farnham’s much-loved indie record store, said a “101 regular” started the queue at 2pm on Friday, April 20 - 18 hours before the annual celebration of Britain’s music shops got under way at 8am the next morning.

He added the queue thinned out at around 1pm on Saturday, and thanked customers for making this year’s event his “best ever”.

The raffle of a sought-after Bruce Springsteen album raised £325 for the Teenage Cancer Trust, and was won by regular ‘Gorilla Mark’, typically dressed as a primate for the day.
