FEARS that a change to fortnightly collections of domestic waste could prove a health risk, has led some Alton residents to volunteer to take part in a summer trial run.
The scheme forms part of a radical set of proposals by East Hampshire District Council aimed at offering a better managed service while meeting European and national directives for future reduction of bio-degradable waste and increased recycling targets.
