FIFTEEN specially selected pubs, cafes and restaurants will offer an exclusive three-course menu for just one day during Farnham’s Food Fortnight which takes places from Friday, September 11.
There will be a choice of English, Italian, French and Thai food. Some restaurants will specialise in fish while others will be offering home-cooked dishes made from locally sourced produce. Those taking part represent the variety of international, national and local cuisine that can be found in Farnham.
Jill Hargreaves, lead member for tourism and events, said: “Food Fortnight is part of Farnham’s Feast of Food and is a very popular event. People get the chance to eat in places they’ve perhaps previously never thought about visiting and our wonderful pubs and restaurants are able to showcase what it is that makes them special."
A list of venues participating in Food Fortnight and the menus they will be serving can be seen at www.farnham.gov.uk/food. Food Fortnight is the prequel to the one-day Food Festival that will take place in Castle Street on Saturday, September 26.
