EDGEBOROUGH School in Frensham welcomed a former Scotland international to their latest fundraising event for their chosen charity, robbiesrally.

The school played host to former rugby player, Thom Evans, as well as more than 120 pupils for ‘robbiesrugby’, which involved boys and girls playing six mini-matches and enjoying a training session with the Scot.

Money was raised throughout a sun-filled festival-like day with the help of cake sales, a barbecue, ticket sales and robbiesrelish stands.

Two Edgeborough pupils were the brains of the project, with 12-year-olds Jake Harris and Harry Morrogh, with a helping hand from their mums, helping put the wheels in motion for the successful event.

Robbie’s dad Mark also gave special thanks to teacher, Tom Robson, for his organisation as more than £1,000 was raised in total.

The preparatory school has spent the academic year raising money for the charity created by their former pupil Robbie Keville, who died in February 2016, with a number of fundraising events still to come before the end of the summer term.
