BAD driving has been blamed for safety issues at the new double mini-roundabouts at Hindhead, not poor road design, according to the Highways Agency.

One crash and several "near misses" have already been witnessed at the new road layout, it has been claimed.

But the Highways Agency, which installed the mini-roundabouts to replace the notorious Hindhead crossroads at the end of last year, is blaming confusion over priorities among drivers on failure to observe the rules.
