THE campaign to save Ropley Post Office took a step forward last week with more than 330 local residents pledging their support to help keep it open.

They packed the village hall for the first meeting of the newly formed Ropley Village Shop and Post Office Association The aim being to raise funds with a view to possible purchase of Pondside Stores and Post Office, probably on a partnership basis with an independent buyer.
