A NURSERY school in Froxfield has been rated “outstanding” by Ofsted.

Noting that the children at Rainbows Nursery were highly motivated, eager to explore and have a desire to learn, its inspectors said that staff worked well together as a strong, focused team and are passionate about their role in helping children to make progress, in relaxed, welcoming and fun environment.

The children were praised for their exceptional behaviour, which will help them to develop strong relationships with each other and with staff.

The report also stated that staff members developed “excellent relationships” with parents.

“They use their home-links books and children’s ‘all about me’ books to share information frequently. This has a positive impact as staff and parents use a joined up approach to progressing children’s learning and development,” the report continued.

Nursery manager Ruth Hiscock said: “We are absolutely ecstatic and over the moon. It’s our second ‘outstanding’ report in a row, which makes it even sweeter. The parents were ecstatic as well, its our little pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.”

And she added: “It’s been almost five years since we had our last inspection, which was also outstanding. We have been waiting for them to come back but we are really pleased and so was the inspector. Anyone is welcome to come and have a look around. It’s well worth it.”
