FROXFIELD Infant School's first day of the new term last Friday was shattered by the shocking news of the death of their headteacher, Lynne Chester.

Lynne, 55, had been the head at Froxfield for 13 years, during which time she had improved further its fine reputation and guided the school through many developments in the curriculum, the building of a new classroom and, triumphantly, through two Ofsted inspections which were both assessed as "outstanding".
