AN "amazing" family fun day hosted by Bordon's infant and junior schools has attracted a record crowd.

Always packed with fun and entertainment, this year the fun day, organised by the Friends Of Bordon Schools (FOBS), featured some new attractions, including a licensed food court, rodeo rides and soft-play areas.

At the September 28 event there was also an acoustic music set by local band OnEdge, and the hot, sunny weather made the day even more enjoyable.

Bordon Junior School's deputy headteacher Jon Reilly told the Herald that he was delighted at the fantastic number of local families who had arrived to enjoy the day and the wonderful sum of money raised by FOBS to benefit the pupils of both the infant and junior schools.

"The annual family fun day has been run successfully by the FOBS team for a number of years but I cannot remember such an amazing day as we had last Sunday," he said.

"With more than £5,000 raised and around 1,600 people in attendance, it will be a day that lives long in the memory."
