SCOUTS and Guides from across Farnham descended on Bentley Copse Activity Centre near Guildford last weekend for the 2016 Surrey Frost Camp.
Around 500 Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Guides and leaders from groups across Surrey including 4th Farnham, 7th Farnham and Farnham Explorer Unit enjoyed a host of activities including quad biking, Jacob’s ladder, crate stacking, a zip wire, archery, air rifle shooting, climbing and abseiling, backwoods cooking, laser tag, a campfire and disco to name a few.
Now in its 10th year, Frost Camp has seen many different weather conditions and this year was no exception.
Below freezing temperatures saw a hard frost on the Saturday morning, while Sunday saw the site wake up to snow and the children enjoying an all-out snow ball fight.
Felix, aged 12 from Farnham, said: “It was a great weekend with quad biking being the best activity as it was a new experience.”
Aidan, 16 also from Farnham, added: “This camp is great as you have the freedom of doing what activities you want to do.”
Carl, the centre manager at Bentley Copse, said: “that it had been a great success with the snow topping off the weekend for the children”.
