SHOWSHACK'S Got Talent was performed to a packed house in Weydon School’s Medici Theatre on Friday, March 23.

Many of the students had shown exceptional talent across many different genres of the Performing Arts when they auditioned.

Students prepared their own performances inspired and supported by Showshack’s Creative Team.

The panel of celebrity judges enjoyed the evening immensely and were very impressed by the high standard of performances.

Judges included ex-student Tom Taylor, who plays Tom in Dr Foster, London agent Jilly Moore, who spotted some future talent, with several of the students earmarked to audition for her, and musician, drummer and tutor at Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) in Guildford, Danny Mullowney.

The winners were Grace Knight (singing), Matilda Cawson (dance) and Heather Dunsmore & Ella Hughes (drama).

The overall prize went to James Mackenzie (singing).

The annual Showshack Dance Competition was also held at Weydon School and was judged by dancer Yazmin Wood, who has danced on X Factor and with Little Mix.

Dances were choreographed by Showshack’s Gini Harrington and there were a number of winners.

Well done also goes out to Eleanor Sims who achieved the first ever 100 per cent in her London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA) drama exam this term.
