SIMPLY Unique Art Studio at Bells Piece Leonard Cheshire Disability service in Hale Road, Farnham, has been chosen to decorate an otter sponsored by Care Farnham.

Bells Piece’s otter will be displayed on the new Otter Wey Trail which will form part of Farnham Town Council’s walking festival during the months of May and June.

It will then join all the other otters at the Farnham Carnival, where the they will be auctioned with the proceeds going back into the community.

Mayor Mike Hodge delivered the otter on Wednesday, January 31.

Tina Vlok, team leader at the Simply Unique Art Studio, said: “Our artists are very proud of being part of this wider community project and having their art publicly displayed in Farnham.

“We are very excited about the otter project and all the in the art studio are busily planning and designing the decoration of our otter.

“We feel very honoured to be part of this project. We are hoping the otter can be on display at Bells Piece, thus bringing the beautiful art created in Simply Unique Art Studio and Bells Piece’s work with adults with a learning disability in the community into focus for the wider public.”
