YOUNG people in Farnham were given an early Christmas present in December when the town's skatepark reopened after a two-month refurbishment.
More than 40 young people using skateboards, BMX bikes, scooters and roller blades arrived at the revamped skatepark in Dogflud Way to test their skills.
Borough councillor Julia Potts was joined by county councillor Pat Frost and members of the Farnham Weyside Rotary Club at the reopening ceremony.
Ms Potts said: "The former skatepark was old and in desperate need of updating and refurbishment. The young people seem delighted with the new skatepark and it provides a fantastic outdoor resource in the centre of Farnham that will last for decades.
"Facilities like these encourage young people to stay fit and healthy, have been proven to decrease anti-social behaviour and create a strong sense of community."
