Small puts Shots through in FA Cup

ONE superbly worked goal put Aldershot in the second round of the FA Cup, but the scoreline disguised the fact that they completely outplayed League One side Brentford at the EBB Stadium on Tuesday.

Wade Small had scored Aldershot's goal in the first match, and it was the quicksilver forward's early strike that decided the replay on a freezing, foggy night.

Aldershot's reward is an away tie with Blue Square South side Dover Athletic on November 27.
