HOLYBOURNE'S district councillor Jerry Janes has been told the village must fight its own battle if it wishes to remain part of Alton under the proposed new warding arrangements for East Hampshire District Council.
Mr Janes was angry when EHDC's policy and resources committee voted to support most of the proposals the Local Government Commission's draft recommendations for new district ward boundaries, which place Holybourne with Froyle, Shalden and Lasham.
