A call has been made by East Hampshire District Council for feedback as they’re updating their gambling legislation.
The Gambling Act 2005 requires local authorities like EHDC to publish a Statement of Principles.
It includes objectives on where gambling can take place, how it can be conducted fairly and without exploitation.
The council has begun a review and has invited statutory consultees, interested parties and the public to have their say and help shape local policy through a six-week consultation.
The finalised statement will detail the position or view that EHDC will take on gambling in the district.
The consultation runs until June 20, feedback should be sent to [email protected] with details of the current SOP at www.easthants.gov.uk
