FARNHAM A-level and BTEC students celebrated record results last week, bucking the national slump in top grades and guaranteeing places at the UK's top universities.

All colleges serving the town registered 100 per cent pass rates, including Farnham College which reached the milestone for the first time in its history.

Frensham Heights set a new school record while All Hallows pupils achieved the top three grades in 47 per cent of the exams sat.

Alton College, Farnborough Hill and Charterhouse School also boasted outstanding results - with Farnborough Hill smashing the national average with almost half of its grades judged as A* or A.
