A woman from Seale has appeared in court after being charged with burglary and two attempted robberies in Aldershot.

Julie Walls is suspected of stealing a pouch containing £1,000 in cash from a property on Wilson Road in the town on Sunday (July 20).

The 45-year-old of Hogs Back has also been linked to a pair of attempted robberies at Westgate Retail Park on July 16 when efforts were reportedly made to steal and vehicle and car keys.

The police also received a report that a woman had entered Morrison’s fuel station with a pair of scissors on the same day, with the defendant being arrested following an investigation.

Police have since confirmed the suspect has been charged with burglary dwelling and theft, two counts of attempted robbery, and being in possession of a bladed article in a public place.

The defendant, who was listed as Julie Stevens, spoke only to confirm her name and particulars during an initial hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates Court this morning.

She has been remanded in custody with a plea & case management hearing scheduled to take place at Winchester Crown Court on August 26.
