A CHARITY Golf Day is being held on Saturday, June 23, at Oak Park to raise funds for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care.

After a successful first event last year, organisers Joe Castles and Martin Hayes decided to run a second annual golf competition for all levels.

Around 30 players got involved last year, with a grand total of just under £1,500 raised for the hospice.

This year, Joe and Martin are aiming to raise between £2,000 and £2,500 and almost 50 people have now signed up.

There is a chance to win on a large selection of prizes in the raffle, as well as taking part in an auction.

Items available at the auction include an Everton 2018 signed football shirt, which is framed and comes with a certificate of authenticity, a boxing glove signed by David Haye, a Sunningdale two-ball voucher and a signed 2018 Scotland rugby team shirt, including signatures from all the winning six nations players.
