HEIDI needs no introduction for people in Farnham and Haslemere.

The bakery has been bringing proper pastry and patisserie to England for more than 20 years.

Its first store, in Windsor, was founded by Heidi Daniel who, with Edward and Rory, continues to run the business today.

Although the kitchen has grown, many of  the company’s methods have not.

With the help of a mixer and a pastry break, the team handcraft each of the hundreds of items it sells each day using traditional ingredients, many of which are imported from France.

Its little blue van – Bakemobile 001 – is a familiar sight as it transports these products across Berkshire, Surrey and Hampshire four times a week, where the items are proven and baked off each morning.

This ensures what hits our counters has only minutes before come out of the oven - which, in pastry, makes all the difference.

Heidi Farnham is a popular meeting place on the first floor of Elphicks department store in West Street.

The store’s counter is always bursting with delights, from pastries and other viennoiseries as you enter on the left, across to savouries, salads and cakes as you move down the counter to the right.

The Farnham store is one of the company’s favourites, with huge windows that bring in plenty of light on even the muggiest days and a friendly staff team to welcome groups or solo-coffee drinkers alike.

Heidi Haslemere is a new addition to the company portfolio.

Located right in the centre of the High Street in beautiful Haslemere, the store offers a warm place to enjoy a coffee and a bite to eat with friends and family.

The firm is especially proud of the store’s new Heidi decoration scheme, which features warm tongue and groove cladding and a bright new counter – bursting with the signature Heidi look.

And with the continuation of the famous Caracoli gift-food range, Heidi Haslemere has something for everyone.

And the Herald has joined the Heidi team to offer a FREE hot drink to every reader.

Simply cut out the voucher on Page 22 of this week’s Herald and take it along to the Heidi counter in Elphicks in Farnham, or to the new store in High Street, Haslemere, and exchange it for a hot drink.

You can drink with a friend but to claim a free drink each, you must EACH have a voucher cut from the Herald, Only one free drink can be exchanged for each voucher.

And vouchers must be an original cut from the Herald. No photocopies are permitted.

Enjoy your free drink – and while you are there, why not take the opportunity to try some of Heidi’s pastries  and patisseries? You won’t regret it!
