A Claret will be completed by a White at the top of the Farnham Town Council chamber for the coming year.
Burnley FC fan George Murray is the town’s new mayor – and his deputy will be Cllr Graham White.
The latter was unanimously elected by the council last Thursday (May 15) following a nomination by Cllr David Beaman, with Cllr Andrew Laughton seconding.
Cllr Beaman said: “Graham’s style is quite laid back but he’s always there when needed, especially in these fast changing times.”
The member for Farnham North West said he hoped his “judgements and abilities will be suitably fulfilled as deputy mayor. He was also elected leader of Farnham Town Council for another year following a vote during the same meeting.
