CHILDREN at Westchester House Nursery have been helping Farnham ASSIST by donating food items to fill 55 harvest food boxes for the elderly.

The boxes were presented to the recipients, many of whom live alone, at Farnham ASSIST’s annual harvest lunch.

To make the present that bit more special, the children made a little picture for each box which they then went on to decorate.

Following the lunch the nursery’s phone did not stop ringing with several of the guests calling to express their gratitude and others sending in thank you notes.

“I really do thank all the children at Westchester house for the absolutely lovely box of goodies that I received at the lunch. It was a wonderful surprise and I had such fun taking all the items out of the beautifully decorated box,” commented one.
