THE biggest reforms of the school examination system in a generation were unveiled this week by Education Secretary Michael Gove, after ministers believed that current GCSE exams are not fit for purpose.
The new system will restore a "gold standard", according to East Hampshire MP Damian Hinds, who has welcomed proposed reforms to the exam system for 16 year olds.
