A PHOTOGRAPHY competition for entries into The Hedgehogs charity Love Farnham 2017 Calendar attracted hundreds of photos of scenes in and around Farnham.

The entries were recently reviewed by a panel of judges at the council offices in South Street and they had the difficult decision of selecting a total of 12 photographs from the vast entry list.

After much deliberation the first prize of £100 was awarded to Chris Nesbit and the second prize of £50 to Graham Markham.

Ten runners-up - Katie Hiscott, Connan McStay,  Iain Lynch, Chris Collinson, Alan Hussey, D C Vickers and David Georghiou - will receive a free calendar and their pictures will all feature in the Love Farnham 2017 Calendar.

Hedgehogs’ chairman Bob Hockey said: “This is the third consecutive year we have run our calendar competition for photographs to be used in the Hedgehogs’ Love Farnham Calendar and the quality and composition of the photographs just gets better each year as do the number of entries submitted.”

The Hedgehogs’ Love Farnham 2017 calendar will be available to purchase from early October at The Farnham Herald office in West Street, the council offices in South Street and in Lion & Lamb Yard on dates published on the Hedgehogs’ website www.the-hedgehogs.org.uk.

Calendars will also be on sale at various fairs, markets and other outlets in the run up to Christmas. All the proceeds from the sale of calendars will support The Hedgehog’s mission statement of ‘helping local people in need’.
