CHRISTMAS is well and truly on its way in Farnham as mayor David Attfield switched on the town’s official Christmas lights on Saturday.
People of all ages were kept entertained in Gostrey Meadow and, thanks to support from gold sponsor Personnel Selection, Farnham Town Council arranged a live nativity, Santa’s grotto, and horse-drawn sleigh rides.
The town council’s Christmas lights switch-on marked the start of several weeks of festive activity in the town, including the Christmas market on December 9, the Farnham in Bloom winter celebration on December 16, and the mayor’s civic christmas carol service on December 13.
