FARNHAM will be under the South East in Bloom judges' microscope on Wednesday.
The town's flowers will be under close scrutiny from 2 pm onwards, when judges begin their tour at the library.
Farnham in Bloom chairman Madge Green said: "We have worked to various special themes in this eventful year. Royal red prevails in Downing Street and Castle Street.
"At the police station, which includes a tribute in soft pastels to the late Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, a gold and purple exhibit marks the Queen's Golden Jubilee year.
"West Street has been designed to a sweet pea colour scheme and the top of South Street is 'oranges and lemons'. We have a red, white, and blue theme at the top of Downing Street, provided by Forest Lodge Garden Centre and the library."
Mrs Green, who has led her team of In Bloom ladies to multiple successes over the years, has pleaded for people to stop feeding pigeons, saying they spoil the flowers and encourage rats.
People living along the judges' route are being asked to help on judging day by trimming their hedges or grass and putting out flower pots or hanging baskets and removing graffiti.
After the 2 pm start at the library, the tour will continue via the Museum of Farnham garden, West Street cemetery and allotments, the Weydon Lane business park, the wildflower meadow at Coxbridge, The Hart, Timber Close, Castle Street, Long Garden Walk, the Lion and Lamb Yard, Harts Yard, the Beekeepers' Garden, Central Car Park, Borelli Yard, The Woolmead, South Street, the Victoria Garden, Gostrey Meadow, Union Road, Trafalgar Court, the police station, Downing Street, Clayton Court, Ivy Lane, Upper Church Lane and St Andrew's School.
Farnham will be judged for a second time on the afternoon of August 12 when it will represent the whole of the South East in the national Britain in Bloom finals.
