TRAFFIC came to a stand-still in Farnham town centre on Wednesday morning after a transporter lorry became stuck at the bottom of Castle Street.

The flatbed truck carrying construction vehicles including a JCB digger got into difficulty when trying to join The Borough from Castle Street at around 10.30am.

Both lanes of The Borough were blocked for around half an hour, prompting a quick-thinking traffic warden to divert traffic into Castle Street.
