TRAFFIC delays are likely in Castle Street this week with temporary traffic lights scheduled from Monday, January 4.

A new gas service is to be installed by utility company SGN outside 71 Castle Street, near the entrance to St George’s Yard.

The work is expected to take up to seven days to complete and two-way signals will be in place throughout.

A lane of East Street opposite The Woolmead will also be closed for three days from Monday for emergency works by Thames Water.
